FBMW98 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
This is the most devastating news. Joe was such a bright, ambitious young man, who managed to perform miracles in the world of motorsport against the greatest odds. Despite this Joe was great fun......really, really great fun. Always with a smile on his face, always laughing.
Joe and his family were incredibly kind to Matt and I last year, and I was always struck at how proud his family must have been at Joe's achievements.

Matt & I and my familys thoughts are with the rest of the Tandy's right now. I hope that they find a very small consolation in the fact that Joe had achieved so much, in the sport that he loved, in so few years.

I'll miss you Joe

Horrific. Had he lived, I know where Joe would have ended up - at the very top of race team management: and he would have had a lot of fun on the way. They are an exceptional family, the Tandys, and Nick is potentially an exceptional talent. I know it will hit Nick cruelly hard (as it will his parents and the rest of their family), but I hope he will be able to resume his racing career eventually. It may be seen as a tasteless cliche, but in this case I know it's true - Joe would have wanted Nick to continue.

The F3 and FF series will be a poorer place without him.
Thoughts are with Nick and the rest of his family and friends

Deepest condolences to family and friends.
Really enjoyed watching Nick storm through the field at Silverstone a couple of weeks ago, taking on the big teams.
RIP Joe

The worst possible news. Our deepest sympathies to the whole Tandy family and race teams. It is difficult to find comfort in words at times like these but I hope those so cruelly affected by this loss will know how much so many of us in the motorsport community have them in their thoughts at this most difficult of times.

Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Spoke to him 1s... sounded like an ordinary chap and up until now I thought he was one of JTRs technicians, before I saw his pic on fota website... Sad news, I did admired the way JTR was/is run, a privateers, I admire success they've achieved over past two years, because it is incredible that team run privately can achieve so much success and fights for championship title.

Godspeed...

I have only just seen this shocking news!!! I never knew the man but it is clear he made a pretty big impression on a lot of motorsport people and fans judging by the many condolences and well wishes to his family so far in this thread.

I'd too like to say how terribly sad this is and wish Nick and the rest of the Tandy family well in what must be a truly difficult time.

Very, very sad – a hugely talent and tenacious person, on both sides of the pitwall.

Condolences to the Tandy family

A great shame to lose such a promising team boss, who had put a really strong operation together in a short space of time.

I think Nick was incredibly brave to step into the car today less than a week after losing his brother, mentor and team boss, and not only that but to stick it on top of the timesheet was a great tribute to Joes and Nicks hard work.

RIP Joe Tandy

What an awful thing to happen, I remember both boys coming through Mini's and on from there, they always having to scrape together a budget and were always impressive drivers.

RIP Joe (and the passenger in the car as well I see). Keep driving Nick, I'm sure it's what Joe would want.

RIP Joe Tandy.

I agree how incredibly brave of Nick to be out there testing again today.
That really does sum up the incredible Bravery, dedication and fighting spirit the Tandy brothers always demonstrated. I'm sure that all Joe would have wanted was Nick to be out there testing again today and showing everyone what a star he is.
