Is it me or are there quite a few of the regular GTS runners not on your sheet (yet)? I see only 2 Camaros and 2 Mustangs, what's up with that?

I've talked to a few regulars that want to be left off as of right now and wait for their announcements.

KPAX Racing with Flying Lizard is back with at least two cars!
The build on a third car has been completed, so there's a potential for a custumer car as well!

So let's see, so far for GT we have:
2 EFFORT Porsches
2-3 KPAX Flying Lizard McLarens
2-3 AE Nissans
1 Gainsco McLaren
2 Weistec Mercedes
1 GMG Porsche (or maybe more?)
2 Realtime Acuras 2wd
2 Cadillacs
2 Dyson Bentleys

I might have missed some.

K-Pax/Flying Lizard should run one of their cars (third car?) in this livery next season.

Will be a great seat for someone.

My bet would be Lawson Aschenbach.

I was thinking Ryan Daziel but if he were a Caddy driver he wouldn't be doing WEC with Patron

Aschenbach would be my guess too. He's been racing GM cars for a while, and has plenty of PWC experience.

Regarding one of the other major driver vacancies, this was inside a Sportscar365 article:

Quote:
2015 Pirelli World Challenge standout Ryan Dalziel was notified he wouldn’t return to EFFORT Racing; Spencer Pumpelly only recently found out he also wasn’t retained at Park Place Motorsports, despite winning twice in IMSA and five times elsewhere in 2015.
Both of their replacements are believed to be Porsche factory drivers.
Adds further weight to the rumor that EFFORT's #31 Porsche will be driven by a factory pilot.

PWC's new director of operations comes straight from GM's racing department. Does anybody see any potential conflicts of interest here?

Like the race director coming from Audi the first year full GT3 cars were eligible?

Not real unusual in racing, like Mike said, Marcus Hasselgrove came from Audi, IMSA's Simon Hodgson previously worked for Wayne Taylor, and newly announced SCCA Pro President Derrick Walker ran Ed Carpenters Indycar team before he worked for Indycar themselves.
