mike_kart should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
MG tyres - i like it.

Good grip, good price, but hard to find. This was my experience with MG tyres red. Anyone else?

For what class? non-MSA I'm presuming? how much do they cost? Were'nt they the Rotax tyres before Vega's? If so the first Vega's, the SL7s were a major improvement, although the SL6s leave something to be desired.

Here in Australia we use the MG Red as a control tyre for the clubman classes (Yamaha KT100S engines). The Australian Karting Association have a contracted price of AU$235.00 a set. You can usually get 3-4 race meetings out of a set, they provide good grip and the performance drop off is minimal, although if people can afford to buy new tyres each meeting they do. People say they're the best control tyre the clubman classes have had for years.

yep I would agree with that. Ran 2 years with them in restricted TAG in australia and they held up pretty well..allthough I did find the drop off quite big once they started to go off (campared to a guy with brand new ones beside me that is)

A very good control tyre indeed...

The unrestricted tyre is not so great , lack of grip and wears very easilly (I think it is an MG yellow)

MG Red all good
