Not really surprising Iain,I take it you had a full anesthetic for a start? Not taking into consideration the internal stiching,I would have thought you to be better off waiting anyway. No point in pushing it too far.

Lie about your age Iain, you can have your ECG laying down then, with a paper and a glass of sherry

Just had a look to see what the other side thought about the show. They are all moaning about the cost and a couple who went were a bit disappointed. Any of our lot go today and what were your thoughts on the show.

I thought it was the worst I'd been to for some time, but a couple of the traders were rubbing their hands. These were people who are selling only to competitors so the "right" people were there.

Certainly it was easy to move around 'cos there weren't many people there. Didn't seem to be very much of interest in the auction. The Pistonheads "Supercar" display consisted of a number of Elises, a battered TVR and a Mini fer pete's sake!!!!

I did begrudge my £24 and even more the day I wasted going there.

Will be first visit for many years. Sounds like I will have to be content with getting Medical and ECG done while there........

Maybe Saturday will liven up a bit!

Funny you should say that, but just printed off the site plan and was wondering if that was the case!

The medical and ecg bit is in a room on the right in the foyer as you approach from the car park. You wont be looking at any engineering bits on Saturday or Sunday as they are replaced by the bling stands, engineering is trade days only.

Let the train take the strain 3 quid to park 8-40 there and back, fridge provided my bait, didn't buy owt, cheap day out.

Just got back.....not impressed!!! £30 each plus £8 parking and fuel, definately not worth it. £15 each and I'd have said it was "alright"

Auto sport must really be struggling with it this year,so far this week I have had 11 reminders that the show is on! And I'm still not bothering with it,obviously little change from previous years!!

I think its been overpriced for years especially since they incorporated the Live Action Show (which I'm not interested in) into the standard ticket price. However, I treat it as a day out to socialise in the off season so grin & bear the cost.

Yep, that's fair enough. Same here, really. I suppose that's why they get away with charging £30 or so, because they know a lot of people are starting to get withdrawal symptoms or its a good time for a catch up.

Every year I come home in a grump saying "last bloody time I go there, waste of bloody time" and yet there I was - again - this morning with £30 in my grubby mitt!
