TuteZaek should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2024 Argentine Touring Cars

Ok, 2024 is coming, and the changes will be massive, especially for the 2 most important series in the country.

First of all, the TC is presenting the new generation of cars, leaving (progressivelly till the 2025/26 season) the old Falcons, Chevys, Gtxs and Torinos and instead fielding new Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, Camrys (Already racing, was the one that started this all) and an all new Torino made exclusivelly for the series.

On the TC2000, the SUV had its first presentation in the form of the VW Nivus, built by Halcon Motorsport and with anouncements of various other models, with the official confirmation of the new Honda Z-RV by the brand.

On the TN, what was aparently a chill end of the 2023 season and a simple start of the 2024 one turned on its head, with the aparent change of fiscalization going from the ACA CDA to ACTC CAF, in what is another link in a never ending string of events that are undermining the CDA (and by extention, FIA's argentine branch, the ACA) position in front of the motorsport activities in the country.
As per the rumors, the change, should it happen, will obey to the overall unhappynes from a lot of the TN drivers with how the CDA is adressing the issues that are presented, with the last drop being the suspension of Santiago Mallo for the rest of the season on any CDA sanctioned event (TN, TR, TC2000, Turismo Pista, among others), on grounds of him "disrespecting" the CDA's authorities, after a confusing event on the San Nicolas TN race.

The TR exists, thats is.

Why would it be that Rossi is denied changing to Chevrolet in 2024?

Why? because the TC did the whole TGR thing for him basically.
Also, with the new models and the current BOP maybe there will be a change on the allocations for models.

Also ACTC being ACTC: Josito (a confesed chevy guy) never got to race a Chevy, for example, and most of his victories are in a Ford.
I think it comes to the ACTC wanting "Big (enough, cof cof, dodge, cof cof)Names" in every brand

Do you think Rossi will be allowed to change then?

Is he returning to TC2000 for 2024?

I think this is only understandable for locals. I mean if Rossi is out of contract he's free to join a Chevrolet team.

ACTC has a regime on which a driver needs to be aproved by the series to race for any given brand (Some of them were granfathered from before) put in place because of time where most of them were trying to build Fords or Chevrolets.
So for example, any driver coming from TC Pista needs to race with a Dodge or Torino. With a year of grace for drivers that come from a ford or chevy to give time for them to build/search for a car, like this year Otto Fritzler, who next year will be driving a Dodge for the Pradecon Racing Team (the Camaro homologation team)

As for Rossi, yes, he is returning to TC2000, with TGR in place of Santero aparently.
Since they don't clash, there is no problem with the TC... but the TCPK... Santero and likely Ardusso are going to leave the (future) SUVs for the PickUps

Yes, Ardusso is, afaik, already out of TC2000, he was offered the TGR Camry that Rossi is leaving (Incompatible with his Honda seat on TC2000), one of RV's (The Honda TC2000 Team) own Chevys (Soon to be Camaros) and in both cases, the TCPK option was mentioned, but he decided to stay in the RUS-Med team with the Chevy, and the Pickup will come likely from them (they have at least one Hilux free)

Another TC Silly season news: Lambiris is going to the Maquin Parts Team, always with Ford, starts with the Falcon, and expects to change to a Mustang in the 4th or 5th Race, also Todino is changing to Ford in the same team, same idea, Falcon at first, Mustang later, Gini will continue using the Toyota, and a second Camry will be available (First time since forever that the Maquin Parts doesn't have any Torino)

Current champion Urcera, leaves the Maquin Parts team and Torino, and is almost confirmed with a Ford from Moriatis, replacing Fritzler that leaves for the Pradecon Team.

Landa will continue with Trotta Racing/ACRA and will be the one in charge of debuting with the new Torino, that will start with the building phase on these weeks, it will not be on the last race this year.

The Di Meglio Team is finishing Trucco's Challenger, and are aiming to have it do some laps on the last race.

There are at least 4 Mustangs confirmed in construction (with the Chasis and parts kit already delivered, and some already in construction) DTA's Homologation Car, Werner's Fadel Racing Car, Trosset's Uranga Racing one and Gianini JPG Racing one with the Maquin Parts aiming for early mid season introduction of 2 Mustangs. Guri Martinez also confirmed they want a Mustang, and aparently is going to be built by the DTA team, for a driver that is coming to the team.
Finally Moriatis is aiming to build a Mustang for the 2024 to develop racing alongside the team's Falcon, this one driven by Urcera. There are chances that the Mustang will be driven by Moriatis himself on a partial programme and then passed to Urcera
so 7 to 8-ish Mustangs for 2024

Similarly, there are at least 3 Camaros confirmed, the 2 Pradecon ones (one for Ledesma), and one from Las Toscas, with De Carlo's LRD team going for two for Ebarlin and Risatti, but no timeframe clarified. Mazzacane also showed interest and the Coiro-Dole Racing team will be building one for mid season.
So 6 cars (and possibly more, RV Racing also showed interest)

On the Toyota side, TGR will continue with one car, driver TBD, and the Coiro-Dole racing will build at least 2 more cars but not under the TGR banner, Jakos basically confirmed for one, and one more TBD.
The Maquin Parts team will also field 2 Camrys, one for Gini, and the other TBD. So far 4/5 cars

So, the 2024 will have arround 20 "new gen" cars during the season: 7/8 Mustangs, 6 Camaros, 4/5 Camrys, at least one Challenger, and one Torino (and for this one, i expect actually 2, from Trotta)

Because he made lots of criticisms of the TC leadership in the past and the TC is a dictatorial category. You cannot run with any brand, you must request authorization to change brands.
Obviously I don't agree with this but that's how it works.
Rossi was functional for Toyota's entry into the TC and with that began the renewal.
Now he no longer serves them any more and they want to take revenge.

Eh... kinda exageration, the brand allocation is for maintainign Dodge and Torino, they would be long gone if no for that.
Rossi, well, he got sacked from TC 2000 too, and those are not "dictatorial"

I'm not saying that he isn't good, just that he tends to be in the wrong side of the series management quite often, be it ACTC or TC2000,

Matias Rossi has announced to leave TC and join TC2000 with Toyota. He is also considering to continue in the Stock Car Brasil, be it with Toyota Gazoo or another team.

Julián Santero has left Toyota, and announced to leave TC2000 for TC Pick Up.

With the move to SUV's TC2000 is getting some momentum, at least that's my impression.
