Well.

The hood is a bit different, the nose is a little different... the splitter is bigger... but, it's all pretty similar. I guess, if the aero worked years ago for GT2, why doesn't it work now for GT4? An updated, and stiffer chassis, plus better everything else?

I bet it'll go quickly, and be successful. Lots of clapped out Panoz GT school cars still going in SCCA.

You did.

This is an Esperante with an improved chassis and bodywork. I'm curious as to why people get wound up about these things?

Not saying you are, but, man.... I've seen some REALLY hot takes about this across the internet. Like, at worst this is going to be a GT2 car from the mid 2000's re-homologated for GT4, and maybe improved on for GT3(GTD)...

Still looks good, probably sounds good, and I suspect it'll go quick. What's not to like?

I was sad when this program ended, happy now that it's back. I don't think we will ever see a GTLM, but, a GT3 car would be pretty sweet with big aero upgrades.

I'm drinking out of a Panoz mug right now, and own a DW shirt. I'm about the least p'd off about this you can be!

And isn't this the beauty of a BOP class? Who cares what the age is, just bring it and we'll make it work!

I sure hope they get it fiddled with, and slap a bigger wing on, diveplanes, proper skirts and a wider body and go to GT3 homologation.

Looks like here's another contender for GTS then. I bet Factory Five sells more of these $20K kits than Panoz will sell with the Esperante 2.0. People already race the Factory Five Daytona Coupe. Roush will even sell you a sealed Coyote motor for $25K and then just stick in a run of the mill T6 transmission (you can even just go nuts with an X-Trac transaxle and paddleshift). By the time you are done making it into a racecar, no more than $90K invested.

If we are going to allow these specialty one off cars, might as well get with the program and put in a real classic. This thing even has proper center lock wheels (not those terrible 5 lug units) and Michelin tires.

Honestly, this car looks sharp! I love the livery, and it adds some nice variety to GTS. And to think this came from the company that brought us the Abruzzi
