Query on Silverstone F1 GA ticket

I've got general admission tickets for Silverstone in June. According the the web-site, GA gets you: Your ticket includes access to the venue and viewing from any bank area. This excludes access to the Bronze Terraces on all three days.

The track map http://www.silverstone.co.uk/pdf/456...Key180209W.PDF shows "Bronze Raised Viewing Area and Bronze Plus". Are they the areas that I can get into, or I can't?

If I can't, where on that map can I get into. I'm not sure if I'm being a wally or not. Cheers

You will be able to get into the bronze raised viewing areas (more commonly known as a grass bank) which run from Copse to Stowe and then a bit round by club, but you won't get access to the bronze plus terraces at Luffield and Copse.

On another note, will I really have to be queing up at 4am waiting for the gates to open if I want a decent place? If so, is that needed on the saturday as well as the sunday?

I went back in 2005 and watched from the outside of copse so we could just see up the main straight. On the Sunday we arrived at the circuit at about 5:20am and managed to get in the second row of people, so we had a decent view.

By around 7am there were four rows of people, at 9am there were six rows. It peaked at six with people standing precariously on a mental rail behind the back row.

Back then you could turn up on the Saturday at 7am and get you pick of locations, but that may have changed now with the coming of 'Hamilton Mania'.

Thanks for that. I reckon it will be very busy this year, with Hamilton/Button-mania, plus the possibility of it being the last race at Silverstone.

Better set the alarm clock early...
