alexhall should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
First Track

It's not strictly my first track as I have scribbled some designs down in the past. Living in an area where there are dozens of airfields always gave me the idea that should one close down, I could build my own circuit. So I designed a circuit based at Tholthorpe Airfield, North Yorkshire.

The circuit is clockwise, 3.27 miles long, a few good long straights, fast sweeping corners, a very tight hairpin at turn 8 into a tricky complex 9-15.

Cut-throughs could be between 8 & 16; 10 & 15. Comments/ queries / improvements welcome

Hi, alex,

I like this one, and not only for a first share. The ride from T2 to T6 must be awesome, both for the racers and the spectators. And then T6 and T7 must be a real decider.

Two things I would change a little. First, the sector from the hairpin T8 to T12. I love the hairpin, but after that I would make the sector a bit more fluent (though still technical). That would also solve possible runoff issues between T8 and T9 (if any).

The other thing is the S/F line, I would probably make it a little bit longer.

But that's only my taste, the track is fine.

Congrats!

very good effort! It is a very good mix of a fast and a technical part, which can make for some interesting races where 1 competitor has an advantage on the fast stuff, and the other in the slower parts of the track.
