pink69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Why are Audi so good?

Since Sebring last year , the ALMS and Le Mans has been dominated by the Audi R8. This was a massive turn around from 99 and the Audi R8R which wasn' very competitive. What caused the turn around? In one year they have gone from mid pack to way out front and panoz have turned into the team struggling. If Audi can make such a leap forwards surely another team can , and lets hope they do it soon!

Audi's turnaround came from the fact that they totally redid there car for 2000. '99 was a learning year for them, and it showed. But they did there homework, and did it well, and the results from 2000 show it.

As for Panoz, I think they just don't have the resources to fix the new car. They don't have the budget, or the facilities. Audi on the other hand are given a blank cheque from the factory, and there cars are run by a team with decades of sportscar experience.

totally agree...they learnt from what they did wrong ..made changes where they had to and of course had the biggest budget...and it has shown in the results.

they are the best team out there at the moment but someone will step up to the plate and challenge them soon ...hopefully !!!!

Panoz never should introduced a new body, engine, and drivetrain in one year, but then to have their chief designer leave, there's no hope in a deal like that
