I can't believe there are still people doubting Webber's ability, every G.P. he's been on the pace in a car that wasn't suppose to feature at all this year. I just hope that Jaguar do the right thing & give him some reliability to back his speed so hopefully he can take some points away from Imola.

Webber said after qualifying (on ITV) that he was on low fuel, that makes a big chunk of time in a F1 car remember!
But no question hes a damn site better than 'Jungle Boy' |

Pizzonia is a good driver, but is disapointing me...
About Webber in Ferrari, no way... The Scuderia has a golden seat well fitted for the next Brazilian Champion: Felipe Massa Last edited by F1naWeb; 20 Apr 2003 at 02:27. |

According to local show RPM, Webber is on a 3 stop strategy for the Imola race, as are he suspects BAR. The Michelin is suspect going into the race as the green tyres have been graining more than expected.
So I still think he will do well... maybe not win it (although my gambling money is on him )but still be a feature in the results.... |

Webber on a 3 stop will only work if the weather goes bad....having just got the aviation forecast for the next 12 hours for Bologna, it looks overcast, but no showers....that could change, but it wont be Brazil wet, which is Bridgestone inter territory at its best...unfortunately....
I think a top 8 will be good today, as the tyres play to much of a factor. The only hope we have is for Ralfie to pull off a demon pass into turn 1, and hold up schu till the Michelin tyres go through the dead patch in their cycle.... he'll pit around lap 15 or 16 I think... schu to win??? |

Which Schu?
Webber has race pacs usually, so should top 5 it as long as the Michelins hold up.... Pizzaboy will get on the teev too, but for all the wrong reasons |

Imola is not really a 3 stopper race this worries me. But bad wheather could turn it around . Top 8 for sure, top 5 maybe, top 3 I wish for Mark . Ms will win with Ralf a close 2nd I love Mark to be 3rd but we will have to see Wheather will be the key.
Let me just say GO WEBBER |

I think you will be in for a suprise today, I doubt he is as low on fuel as you might imagine, I Brazil he was effectivley dragging a super tanker behind him just to keep the thing running, they have alledgedly solved that problem but why do a low fuel qualifying when you know it's pretty quick on full tanks???? Will be interesting to see how it pans out!
MiniMe, I have a good sense of humour but know for a fact the car isn't a dog and a lot of people put in a lot of hard work to make it better, it's just a bit annoying when all the team seems to get is bad press. I saw an article on F1-Live.com about Jaguar yesterday and it said "the struggling Jaguar Team" Struggling???? How? It's been the best start to a season so far, even better than last years flukey point that tMr Irvine scored! |

I'm nto sure if I 'doubt' Webber, I just think people ar ebeing premaure in some of the statements being made so far. The Jagaur may be better than you all think, and Pizzonia certainly hasn't looked competant yet, although he did outqaulify Mark in Malaysia. Let's see how today's race goes for him.

Pizzaboy stalled on the grid according to f1-live, and Webber is running 11th... not Jag's day today I dont think

"I'd rather work on the reliability of a quick car than the reliability of a car that's slow as well" Mark Webber
the car needs K9 obedience lessons |

I'am not going to blast the Jag this year was alway a development for next year . They have a good base and now they have to work out the odds and ends remember Jag have been rubbish since coming back to F1 execpt for a very few good moments . Mark has show very good results in lead up to the race but the race package just its they yet . Yes hopes are high and of course when you see Mark putting the car in 3,5 on the grid you expect results in the race and they will come. Once the Jag is sorted out in a race package Mark will be a force make no mistakes about it . But it takes time
Saying that Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan that bloody car |

GTR, looks sadly like another electronics let down by the team, as both launch control systems for the Jaguars failed on the grid.... this system is also linked to the pit limiter, so causing webber to exceed the limit on entry without knowing it....bummer!! maybe they need to ditch PI and go with Marelli!!
pitted as predicted at lap 15, but I was surprised that the red cars and williams were on 3 stops also! with no errors or failures, he would have finished 6th....what could have been....oh well bring on spain! pizzaboy! what a mess.... |

Unfortunately for Webber he was let down by his machinery badly today from the moment the launch control failed on the grid to the moment the car stopped although the good sign for both Webber & Jaguar was the fact that with all his problems he was still in 9th when he retired, Jaguar just have to turn speed into reliability.

The whole cat is back thing has been a farce and a huge waste of money. Ford should shut it down now and put some real money into Jordan. Then they could sell (give?) the green cars to Minardi and transfer Webber to Jordan to drive as Fisi's #2. Mark's a good driver and probably in the top 10. Needs a better car if he is ever to convince us that he might be in the top 5. Last edited by alfasud; 20 Apr 2003 at 23:46. |
