Impatient now for the second session. Some of my faves need more time - Kimi bent his car, hope it's fixable; Williams always look slow on the firt day, but JPM worries me - I want to see him get to grips with this circuit in F1). Renault look good, which hopfully bodes well for my Button-podium bet.

Nice to see Trulli up there, and a McLaren at the top end for once |

Rubens has done a very nice lap, .66 faster than... Jenson. Yea. Montoya's getting some decent running too. Yea.

Free practice 2 continues...
Kimi did indeed damage his car too badly, and won't be coming out again. Not good news. Eddie had an off at Massanet on Bernoldi's oil - hair raising place to go off, very high speed going into Casino Sq. Williams looking good. But Montoya is thoroughly exploring th escape roads - riding his luck. Toyota looking brilliant! Last edited by Glen; 23 May 2002 at 11:45. |

Ah yes....it's great to look at while all the teams are working on their cars trying to get the right setup. But remember, the track changes greatly throughout the weekend, and today's result has little bearing on what will happen on Saturday.

Trulli starting to show some of that old sparkle we've been missing all season.
Brilliant performance from Toyota, McNish unlucky not to be fastest overall. Can they keep it up? Webber 8th in the Minardi is a sensational result. Brilliant, but also mind-boggling! And TGF in 11th. When was the last time he finished out of the top 10 in any session???? |

Toyota's looking exccellent for the weekend and what can you say about Webber, six and a half seconds faster than team-mate Yoong !!!
And when is Kimi going to get a break. I know it was his fault that he crashed, but he is having some awful luck at the moment. Still, I still have high hopes for him in qualifying and the race ! And once again Barrichello outpacing Schumacher, come on Rubens, show TGF that you are the DADDY !!!! |

One of the websites is reporting that the Michelins are only working for one good lap which explains the stunning lap times by the two Toyotas. Trulli on the other hand, has always been fast at Monaco so his pace may be genuine. It would be great to see a Williams and Renault front row - Ralf and Trulli. Fireworks galare
