[Race] Abu Dhabi GP cancelled until 2011

At an official press conference today, Bernie Ecclestone announced that the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which was to host the final round of the championship this year, has been forced to abandon such plans until 2011, due to extensive time being taken building the circuit.

"I was assured by the executives in charge of the committee building the track that they would have it built and ready in time," said Ecclestone. "However it seems they won't have it ready in time. Maybe it'd be better if we just returned Formula 1 to proper European circuits, like Magny-Cours, Jerez, and moving the European Grand Prix from that awful street circuit to Valencia's actual race track."

He is just saying those Europe things to scare Abu and other "new" venues to ensure they get the job done from now on. If he makes noises about Europe, then it means they might get scared and work harder (pay more for the GP and get more workers to get them built in time).

Bernie will go wherever gives him the most money. That is not going to change.
