BMW enters diesel for Farfus, Müller, Ekblom in Nürburgring 24 hours

WTCC BMW-works drivers Augusto Farfus Jr and Jörg Müller will drive a diesel-powered BMW 320d in the Nürburgring 24 hours. The both will be joined by Scandinavians Fredrik Ekblom and Stian Sorlie. BMW-regulars Schubert Motors are running the car.
"The 24-hours race is ranked to be the thoughest race for man and machine. For racing drivers it is a great experience and challenge every time," said team manager Torsten Schubert.

You honestly think Jörg Müller needs training on the Nordschleife Johan?

Interesting news for sure. I hope Valencia will prove my point though that Seat's advantage isn't that big at all though, and that the petrols are still very much capable of keeping up.

I'm a tad confused.... if BMW is getting experience/preparation for the WTCC-drivers to drive the all new BMW M3 GTR in the Nürburgring 24-hours 2009, then why is Priaulx not involved.....like you say rich07 - will the car last 24hrs

It's not a Schnitzer effort like before. It's almost a jolly.

There's no way this is comparible preparation for a diesel BMW 320si.

The 320di car was driven in the last VLN race. After the first rounds, the Diesel had a big and bigger advance than the following cars. Crazy, really fast.
