Dixon gets pole, in a rather fraught qualifying session.

Schmidt got a good team result there. And Dixon's title hopes aren't quite over - he's given Helio a rough night.
That chicane is causing a mess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCgtFcqWlyg |

It's great to see the Schmidt boys and Newgarden running in the Fast 6. All 3 of them deserve a good result tomorrow.

Vautier needs that breakout weekend to be honest.
Franchitti disappointed, not for the first time this season. |

Bit of a strange start.
RHR is crawling around and Helio ran into Newgarden's rear and trashed his front wing. He just pitted for a new one but it was slow. |

The first FCY as Ed Carpenter stuffs it into the tyre wall and Luca Filippi's car belches smoke.

It sounds like Ed fried his brakes.
Is it just me, or is Honda having engine issues? Taku was confirmed as an engine failure, and two others have had fires. Dario just came back out. |

Could be a real race of attrition today. Wonder who's next?

Unfortunately I'm going to miss the rest of what's been not a bad race, so far.

And Power nails Dixon again!
Let's just hand Castroneves the trophy right away. ... and of course Power will get away with it, again. |

Holy crapola, watch what happens when Dixon's car comes in on the hook and Power is still sitting there.

Doubt it was intentional by Power but hasn't done anything to help Ganassi/Penske relations and the relationship with the teams and Indycar.

What's that about not bringing Dixon's car back to the pits?
Once again: Please sack Mr. Beaufield. Thanks. |
