I assume they'll need a fuel stop during the 250km race. With just tyres during the 150km one.

Quite sure fuel and tyres for the 250 km.
They use to for the final race at Canberra which was 250 km. |

i just hope it will be a clean race.
the last thing we want is team mates holding the contenders up or punting them off |

Or a pile up that takes out half the field and leaves one championship contender standing

It was reported in Motorsport News this week that AVESCO doesn't have any sort of countback rule if their championship is tied, so i hope to save confusion that Murphy & Ambrose aren't level on points after EC.

Maybe the SBR boys will play punt the '3 fat ladies' at EC...

The Ford fans must be getting desperate, needing Murph to have a mishap next week for Ambrose to get across the line.

Nope, Murf will be buggered from the 24hr.... and if you believe some of the noise from there, may actually be replaced at HMS's request....

I actually think the 24 hour will be a good distraction from the pressure for Murph. It will give his mind something else to focus on for a few days.

Am i the only one abit miffed as why everyone is saying the championship is so close?
22 points different doesn't seem like much when we're talking about the leaders having scored 1800 or so points this year, but when the points-spread in each race at Eastern creek is only 3 points per position...... Ambrose just needs to trundle around near the front and he is home. Last edited by racer69; 16 Nov 2003 at 09:18. |

Mr Palmer suggested on the PROCAR site that Bargs was a possible runner in a Monaro.... |

I was thinking about that. Bargwanna obviously wouldn't have a Ford contract, just a Larkham contract presumebly, or could that be a pointer to future employment? How would GRM feel about him running?

I originally Thought Bargs was named in a Lambo with Stokell and Tratt but that was some months back.
And no I think Bargs is a LMS contacted driver not a Ford Contracted driver but I do believe the FOMOCO will do waht it takes to keep the Holden Refugees like Bargs, Lowndes, Ingall in their Ford seats for many years to come. |
