MikeD should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Who will be WTCC champion 2008?

So after 5 rounds and with the current standings, who do you think will take the title this year?

I have to say, Tarquini is looking very strong, even with a heavy car today he did a great race.

Agreed on above. The pace Tarquini shows with all the weight he's carrying is impressive. While Rydell was on pace with him at the beginning of the season (while both lightweight), Tarquini simply outpaces him now. And that to me is impressive.

To be honest, I really don't want any SEAT drivers to win, but if I was to choose one it would be Tarquini, as ive always been a fan of his since his Alfa 155 days.

Priaulx has spent the last few years winning the championship by the skin of his teeth, hasn't he? Time for a change. So I think that Yvan Muller will win. If not him, then Tarquini or Huff. I just want to point out that I only watch WTCC videos on autosport.com and don't propoerly follow this category.

stedevil has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I voted with my heart, Rydell, but Tarquini has really shown some great stuff the last races clearly outpacing both Yvan and Rickard and not because he is lighter. He might very well take it, especially with 2 Italian races at the very end of the season.
Of course, we are only less than half way through, and while eg Andy should never be counted out, surely he would not just need to pull the regular 1 rabbit out of the hat this year, but 2-3, to get a 4th (5th) consecutive.

Priaulx would need a minor miracle to happen to the SEATs in order for him to stand a chance this year. Even when loaded with ballast the SEATs can still hold their own on most tracks.

well SEAT are just cheats as Yvan Muller proved yesterday when he took out Alain Menu, and also how Tiago Monteiro and one of the other SEAT's were smashing James Thompson around at Valencia. Yet Priaulx gets a 10 place grid penalty for slight contact with another car. FIA is corrupt and complete rubbish at what it does.

That was a bad move indeed, and IMO should have rewarded a penalty, but from there to say it was both deliberate and that all Seat drivers do the same and regularely... Can you share the from the bag you are smoking?

As was eg BMWs. Everybody that had the chance seemed to be hitting Tommo in that race, not just Seats. Donno why nothing became of it.

Would love Huff to manage it, but it's going to be one of the Seats.

The word you're looking for is suspended - which means he doesn't actually serve it.

I can't see giving a suspended penalty to anyone is a punishment, or benefits SEAT in anyway.
