Historic (and modern) racing in Thailand
Hi, anybody know anything about racing series in Thailand?
I have done some searches and came up with a mix of BMW M3s with early 70s Alfas, MK1 Escorts and what not. Apparently there is some focus on some NGT/GT3/GT2 (or similar) racing, a bunch of modern Japanese sedans and some light pickup truck races around here. Does anybody know if their races are FIA sanctioned? What type of license does one require to race? No 70s prototypes, i.e Lolas, Chevrons or CanAm cars? Can I use an early Viper GTS on their supercar series? Or an SCCA or US Trans-Am GT1 (as opposed to FIA) Corvette C5, or a Mosler MT900 LS7 for that matter? Or any Group Cs on events with that kind of car? Can I race a Chevron B21 or a Lola 212 with other compatible cars anywhere here? It's just fun and games but I'd like to know a bit about what's going on here. Thanks |
