Mostly drivers from the middle-east Europe, I see.

However, I think that ETCC is stealing cars to the TCR international/national series...

Expected more entries, still a healthy grid though. Shame there is no Team Unicorse with the new Alfa.

Andreas Pfister misses the races in Le Castellet because of health reasons. Pierre Humbert to replace him.

CJFG should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
After catching up with the action I noticed the sizable turnover of drivers in Super 2000. Borkovic, Homola, Jost, Kajaia and Matejovsky have all departed to name a few. In the first race Fulin (one of few in Super 2000 to stay,) Munnich (more competitive in ETCC than WTCC) and Rikli (in his new Civic) were the leading trio. Rikli's team-mate Richard, who may have challenged, spun off early, but recovered to finish 5th. Fulin passed Munnich after just 3 laps then sped off into the distance. Artemyev ran out of road once or twice. Mota then held up about half the field until he outbraked himself and Lalusic was probably peeved to be punted by Schreiber on the last lap. For Fulin though it was a comfortable victory.

The second race was more entertaining than the first even from the start. Munnich jumped it and Stefanovski started from the pits. Schreiber lost it on cold tyres at the first turn and Richard was punted off, ruining his race. Lalusic and Munnich avoided it all by running wide and Mota retired half way around the first lap. Fulin took just 4 laps to hit the front and then repeated the first race by driving away. Artemyev's desperate attempts to cling to 2nd were entertaining, though he lost out to both Nagy and Rikli. But it was pretty much plain sailing for Fulin who made it 2 out of 2.

Fulin's performances have probably made him the early favourite for the title, but that could all change with a single bad weekend. Behind him it's anyone's guess who's next in the pecking order but I think Nagy, Richard and Rikli are the most likely. It'll be interesting to see if the racing is as interesting at the Slovakiaring.

I think Fulin is the most likely candidate, at least in terms of driving talent. Finding the budget to step up might be tricky.

The Krenek duo and the ASK Lein Seat in the top 3 in both practice sessions at the Slovakiaring.

Schreiber fastest followed by team-mate Fulin and Lalusic in the first session.

Fulin quickest in the second session by nearly 2 seconds, Lalusic next with Schreiber 3rd.

Lema Racing first and second fastest in this morning's free practice with Mota ahead of Stefanovski. Rikli third in his Honda. The top 6 covered by just over 1 second.

We really shuold keep an eye on Kris. Seems to be fast, had the fastest lap of the first race at Paul Ricard

Hmm, TCT getting it wrong then (and me too haha.) Richard was quick at Paul Ricard but seemed out of luck.

This year's field, in Super 2000 anyway, seems closer than last year's; Fulin, Munnich, Nagy, Richard, Rikli and Schreiber all seem pretty close this year so hopefully there'll be more race winners.

Yeah, hopefully will have more luck here.

Well, the midfield is really close, but still think Fulin is faster than anybody else. Just need more cars

Schreiber takes pole position for the first race at Slovakiaring with team-mate Fulin alongside. Mota to start 3rd, Richard 4th and Nagy rounding out the top 5.

A couple of decent races from the Slovakiaring. The first race being delayed twice due to the field cocking up the rolling start (rather than driving through their grid markings they were about 5 cars wide.) I was surprised it happened twice. Debutant Kriegl went off on the opening lap of racing (lap 3) but recovered, and a few corners later Stefanovski tapped Lalusic into a half-spin. Lalusic later ran into the gravel and damaged the splitter. Both Krenek Seats, Fulin and Schreiber, were black-flagged for not having their rear diffuser on, coming in on lap 10. Richard led home team-mate Rikli and Mota picked up his first podium with 3rd, only 0.016 seconds back.

Richard and Rikli got a great start in the second race as the Krenek Seats started from the pits. Stefanovski went off early on. Nagy came together with both Lalusic and Stefanovski on consecutive laps, damage forcing the Macedonian into retirement. Kriegl struggled and dropped back. Fulin and Schreiber cut their way through from the back. Richard won easily once more, flanked by Rikli. Mota was pipped by Fulin, who drove by the backmarkers on the grass, for 4th by even less than the first race, 0.006 seconds.

For the rolling start problems, Schreiber will have a 5-place grid penalty for the next race at the Nurburgring. Given that he is a rookie it seems a little harsh, but rules are rules. The championship is now tighter than I, and presumably others thought, with Rikli leading on 30 points, Fulin 2nd on 29 and Richard 3rd on 24. I can't wait for the Nurburgring. The Green Hell, running with the WTCC cars, should hopefully make it an awesome race.

We can rule out Loeb as 1 of the drivers. The World Rallycross round at Lydden Hill is scheduled for the same weekend, and I think that's his main priority. It would've been nice if he could've done.

So the gist I get from the translated version of that article is that it would remain pretty much the same as this year but with a new name. And they want a race in the Czech Republic, which has happened before.

As for sustainability, as long as people co-operate I see no reason why the series can't last. Look at GT3 for example, Blancpain Sprint & Endurance, GT3 Le Mans Cup and International GT Open all co-exist in the same region.
