First try at a sketchy look.

Hello, I've been drawing for a while but haven't really tried any cars as subjects - lack of time means I usually stick to using my camera. This year however I'm determined to give it a go. I wanted to do it in a loose, sketchy way to prevent it getting too cold and lifeless - I'm a big fan of Bob Freeman (who used to illustrate supercar classics). So here's a quick experiment. It could do with tidying up a little - the text mainly - and unfortunately it was done using one of my photos as reference - which is cheating really - but as I don't a have a Ferrari to hand right now it had to do. I usually feel the drawings I do from life come out better anyway.
I'd like to know what you think of it - any suggestions most welcome, thanks.

I like that a lot - the 246 Tasman is definately my favourite single seater Ferrari

What I couldn't get over was how much access you had to the Ferraris. Everybody seemed to be looking at the modern F1 cars - no barriers, in fact there didn't seem to be anybody on the stand at all. There can't be many places where you can get that close to these sort of cars. Roll on July.
