As much as I like the Jag, I don't think its non-appearance will make me cancel my visit....

Interesting the Classic Organisers will be present- presumably to promote the event to Spectators and Clubs rather than competitors, as that side of the organisation is down to individual race grid organisers.

London is the perfect market for pushing that event, people who are not perhaps huge fans, but have money and want more than racing, all the other tatt that goes on.

Perfect fodder for one of the most overpriced car meetings of the year. Perfect place to do PR, far better than RR anyway.

Before I could think about the cost, this morning there is another email from a trade supplier offering free tickets for thurs or fri! Now booked....

The latter required registration so now they have some data they can use to target me in the future- but, it's very easy to 'unsubscribe' nowadays.....
Mike, hi there ..... I didn't get a free ticket offer sadly, but did use the offer from CS, so 2 for £36 incl. fees will have to do.
Are you going Thurs or Fri ? I'm touching down at Lon. City at 7.30am, Thurs so after a quick breakfast I'll be banging on the front door to be let in !
Hope to see you there.

Don't rush breakfast- show doesn't open until Noon on Thursday. That's when Jacky Ickx is supposed to do the official opening, anyway.....

Lille are advertising it on their website, being of the large variety I always need a made to measure, and I'd rather they measured me.

Mike I heard that the show opens at 3.00pm and Jackie officially opens it at 6.00pm.then it stays open untill 9.30pm on Thursday.

That would mean a lot of hanging around for Martin.

Yes, thanks for that, Rikki. I think some confusion over the Classic Show opening time and the Historic Show opening time- they may not be the same......

I will endeavour to get the truth!

OK, after a diligent search of the website, the suggestion is that HMI opens at 1200, closes at 2030. The Classic Car Show opens at 1500 and closes at 2130.....

No idea how that is going to work, but if all else fails Martin needs to go for somewhere that does an all day breakfast!

BTW, any Masters Historic Racing customers thinking of going, MHR were offering complementary tickets yesterday. By individual application- email or phone- I think.

Also this evening, another offer of a freebie. Anyone interested, PM me, as I've already got a ticket. Looks like any day, one only per application......

Far too late for me! Especially Stoneleigh where people have to travel to get there, they've mostly left well before 5.00. Stupidity. And they wonder why exhibitor numbers are falling.

I would think more likely to work in London- As you say, most will be battling the midlands motorway network to get home from RR, so keen to get away!

RR discount codes?

Did anyone find discount codes for Race Retro tickets?

I really despair at event organisers when we have 2 similar events actually at the same time. What's that all about

Formerly there had a break in the fence behind the great hall of RR … Of course I dont recommend cose this is illegal!
Yes Mike its a war, Rétromobile just closed its doors on sunday night some people who've been there will tell you it was expensive (18 €). Was it worth is another question.

It would be great of course ! Had a look to the exhibitors list of Excel, seems like an upgraded version of Rétromobile so won't go (in spite my wife has a business trip London at the time of the show). I exhibited once at RR (may be 2007) and promised myself to go back and make profit with the jumble.
I'll let you know asap.
