They will probably be going back, where they are/were situated. If your that far off, you have a problem anyway.
Originally planted because of a few overtaking manoeuvres last year were just a little too stupid, nothing to do with hysterics though.

Brave Belgians in a mini. It really is an arms race Race now, not like ten-twelve years ago when it was nearly half tin tops and European ones at that. Even a Ford Anglia back in 2002.

Really looking forward to watching though! Have entered the HSCC races to get my Spa Fix, first for 2 years.

That's what we need- optimism!

Just try and keep the spot lamps intact, that may help......

Anyone needing a car transporting?

Mate of mine has a very period American Ford 'Ramp Truck' (which is for sale btw) that is probably available. Ideal for arriving in style for a Mustang or similar.

PM me for details.

We're going Iain, haven't been to Spa since 2013, or to the 6 hour meeting since 2008! So I'm really looking forward to it.

According to the website FHR devices are 'recommended', not mandatory.

Are they hotting up on this? I don't want to be at scrutineering trying to produce a copy of the regs to confirm why I don't have (need) one.

I was hoping to buy a Simpson Hybrid but simply don't have the cash at the moment. I could buy a cheaper, normal type of HANS but don't want to do that unless I really need to (I will be going for the Simpson for next season).

Thoughts?

Moose, I can see nothing in the safety requirements section of the 'Competitors Logbook' to suggest you need one for your Mustang. They are compulsory for F1 after a certain date, 'more than recommended' for Young Timer (from 1982), and it does then hint at FHR's becoming mandatory for all in the future, but we know that anyway. Neither of the other two meetings I have been to at Spa this year required FHRs for pre 66.....

I've not got one, so if there is a problem, you will not be the only one!

I was asked to produce mine at scrutineering for the first time this weekend at OP, not sure he knew what he was looking at/for though!

Trying to think why you would be asked- unless the helmet posts it fixes to prompted the request?
