Nissan 350Z in the JGTC.

Hey guys, if you going to watch the JGTC this year. Watch the new Nissan 350 Z or in Japanese brand the Fairlady Z in the GT 300 class. Go to the JGTC website and click news to see the new car.

The Silvia is the 200sx, actually. The 240 was the original (I think) Z-car.

I've been looking forward to seeing a 350Z/FairladyZ racing, and this'll be a good opportunity to do so. Dunnoo what'll happen to the Silvia tho', as it seems the JGTC grid will be having less turbo cars.

I think the 240sx was the US version of the 200sx, similar body but US had 6cyl 2.4 engine the 200sx had a 2.0t 4cyl version.

Nissan managed to really screw up the car names trying to suit each market, the US received several versions. The generic Silvia name is used for all 200 series versions. Fairlady for the 300 series.

The 240Z was the original 70's Datsun Samuri car, also with a 6cyl 2.4 lump.

There was a 350Z racing in the US late last year and showed a lot of promise.

Only one team is currently using the 350z in JGTC. The other Nissan teams is still using the Silvia model.

Sounds like the US got the bad part of the deal for a change. I drive a 200sx 2.0 turbo 4 cyl 200 bhp and loads more with slight mods.

For a change??? Nooooo. Only now are we starting to get great overseas cars like the WRX, EVO, STi, and more planned.

-Our 240SX had a truck engine, not the SR20DET 240HP monster...
-Our Mr2 Turbo had 200HP instead of 245HP.
-Our TT FD RX7 had 255HP and the Jspec had 280HP.
-No Nissan Skyline.
-No Elise.
-No Vauxhaul
Und so on...

Why is it American consumers **** and moan over cars that aren't available in this market. We have plenty of great cars here allready. Secondly, just because you can't have one doesn't make them great cars. If you want a 2.0 Liter turbo motor for you Silva Chassis buy one and do an engine swap.
