But WTCR is a long term Formula that could have a very big success. Blancpain is on the same page exept for the cars. GT3 cars are now quite expensive, but again it's working...
GT3 is getting expensive indeed, but GT4 is gaining momentum at the right time as cheaper alternative.

How about Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Opel, Subaru, Hyundai and Kia?

I imagine Hyundai are a cert, Peugeot maybe in late 2018...

Opel is a good chance, same for Alfa

Subaru unlikely, Kia has pretty much fizzled out.

I think the Kia or STARD could surprise us ala Romeo Ferraris, STARD is hiring mechanics for WRX, WRC and WTCR. Put in that what you like, but we could perhaps see STARD on the 2018 WTCR grid.

Maybe STARD had their reasons (financial) but they made the mistake not to enter TCR International or TCR Germany themselves last season. Without competing it's difficult to convince potential customers. I am sure it's a competitive car.

Hyundai doesn't want KIA on the grid.

Michigami back in Super GT with a NSX GT3. So no WTCR, maybe he could race only in Suzuka

Huff will be back 😊 Probably had plenty of options too! He was a man in demand in most series!

2 weeks to submit entries. So far not many teams confirmed. Not a good sign. The ridiculous entry fee by Eurosport Events certainly do not help.

I would say that despite this fee there will be 26-car grid in WTCR. For many teams of WTCC the fee is lower and for the biggest TCR teams that were on the sharp end of the field, moving to the WTCR is in fact an advancement. We've heard about three car team from Comtoyou, about the interest from Craft Bamboo, DG Sport is working on Peugeot programme, Hyundai will be there for sure, probably with BRC and so on and so forth. I'm not worried about the grid for 2018.
