He pitted at the same time as DC and he went on for a few more laps....though I guess that they may have different sized fuel tanks.
I saw somewhere last night that he had "fuel feed" problems... |

it's the usual conspiracy; can't let rubeuns beat or lead Tgf by too far so Brawn and Toad don't call him in for a pit stop.....

Get real . Last time I looked, Brawn and Todt still had noses on their faces.
I put it down to something far more plausible - voodoo black magic. Rubino has obviously upset some South American witch doctor... Either that, or wickedwitch isn't a Ferrari fan... |

Just to clarify this matter, guys.
Barrichello showed up last night on TV and explained what happened. Ferrari lost the transmission car-to-pit from RB's car, due to the heavy rain (!??), so RB's telemetry was gone. They based on TGF's telemetry and made some "manual" calculations. The calculation was wrong. Ferrari's official position : Human failure ! |

Using TGF's telemetry was not a good idea, their particular driving styles affect fuel consumption, I'm sure. But I guess it's all they had to work with...they should have been more conservative in their calculations, obviously.

It states on ITV-F1.com that Rubens did indeed run out of fuel.

Here we buy fried chicken at KFC and leave it with a can of beer in a crossroad (better with a traffic light) for the lost souls. It always works ! Remember, here is the largest base of Iron Maiden's fans... Twwooo minutes... to midnight ! |

OK In todays Autosport it says that Rubens had an engine misfire early on which was responsible for him dropping back in the early stages apparantly. At the same time as this the Ferrari team lost his telemetry.
Todt explained that, "The early misfire had caused his fuel consumption to be heavier than anticipated and because we had lost telemetry from his car we had no way of realising this." Its definitely a curse! |
