bosch! should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I also cant rally see a driver under threat unless its pizzonia. firman is not doing great but he's not damaging much stuff either (only one corner per weekend!) He may mature into a find and EJ needs to concentrate on fisi anyway.

Wilson seems to have real talant but the minardi is awful. If he was shorter i think he would be picked up by another team next season. He nay be bumped in favour of a "pay driver" if only to save the family farm.

So how come the qualifying has been 3-0 to Verstappen so far? I've been disappointed with Wilson and the brick-slow Minardi equally...even if Jos could actually have won in Brazil.

Firman and Pizzonia are probably the drivers in trouble at the moment. You can't realy expect Wilson to do much in the Minardi.

In defense of Wilson I really don't think you can use qualifying as any kind of yardstick in regards to outright speed anymore.

sadly, enemy-ace, you're spot on there. Building on my point I would add that he has yet to actually finish a race. His early laps have been stunning though.

Matthopps should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
IS it too early to be having this discussion? We've had three crazy races so far, now, the same people that wanting a Briton in the second Jordan seat/ hoping pizzonia will do well are the ones wantig to kick him/them out! It just doesn't make sense, is there no pleasing some people?
Why we have this conversation after 7-8 races when they've had a chance to show what they can do on more familiar race tracks.

I think the discussion is valid simply on the grounds that neither Pizzonia or Firman have been stunning so far. It's all speculation at this early stage, but still....

Michael: Its 3-0 to Jos for good reasons:

1. We have been to tracks Jos knows.

2. Brazil was first race with power steering for Wilson.

Justin nearly got Jos in Brazil. Battle in Minardi is brewing nicely.

Yeah Hakkiman; the only point I was clumsily trying to make was that the last three Minardi "bright young things" have trounced their team-mates in qualifying...Gene, Alonso and Webber. Whatever the reason Wilson has not done that and I still see his season as a mild disappointment so far. He's well capable of changing all that IMO.

Also, in Brazil, the first track he knows, he was within an ace of Jos.....he's getting there.

Justin drove a F3000 race at Interlagos in 2001, and he also won it, so he did know the track and has done well there in the past:

1 Wilson Justin Coca-cola Nordic Racing 53:48.123
2 Melo Jayme Jr. Durango Formula SRL +7.649
3 Bourdais Sebastien Dams +17.490
4 Saelens David European Minardi F3000 +21.915
5 Camathias Joel KTR +27.098
6 Gollin Fabrizio Coloni F3000 +28.567

and the powersteering Mianrdi had does'nt make any difference in qualifying, the new system the team will have in Imola maybe will, but the old system Jos used in Malaysia(he also did'nt have it in Australia) and both drivers used in Brazil is'nt.
