Will Brazil stay on the calendar
Brazil has been under threat for several years, but do you think the rain over the weekend has resulted in the final running of the Brazilian GP?
Despite its problems, it is the only race in South America, now we have lost Argentina (and to some extent Mexico). I supose it depends how big it is in the F1 market!? |

I hope it remains. Brazil is far from my favourite location and the track isn't the best either IMO but it always produces good races. A return to Bounos Aires or Mexico City would be good though....

It had better! Hosting the best race of modern F1 has to count for something...

The races at Interlagos have been great in the past few years, I hope it isn't taken off the calendar. There have been other incident-filled races at other venues, in the dry and in the wet, so hopefully this year's race doesn't cause Brazil to lose it's date...

It better do, it produces some of the best races, has some of the best fans (did you see them pre race and when Rubinho was in the lead? Would put the tifosi to shame!).
And besides Rubinho won't retire till he wins at home, he can't go on forever....can he? |

Lets hope not. Its a total waste of space in terms of racing.
Rio is a better option. |

The teams hate going to the track. It only stayed on the calender, cos its the only one in South America.
I say find a better track in South America. |

Interlagos is a fantastic circuit, its great for spectators too since due to its bowl like nature most of the track can be seen from the stands!
Its also quite challenging, just look at last weekend, ok so rain was a factor but still its very physical with some very fast corners and also somewhere with overtaking possibilities! |

Have any of the teams complained about the location this year (I know several complained about the crime last year!)? I also seem to remember it was always slated for being too bumpy, or has it been re-surfaced? Sorry for my ignorance!!

It was re-surfaced in '97, and it only seemed to get worse, at least according to Coultard.
There's no venue in Brazil you can go to where there won't be the threat of crime. Jacarapagua (Rio) and Brasilia are the only others where are realistic venues. Both are bumpy, and they're further out of the city than Interlagos. Besides, CART's probably gonna be using Jacarapagua. |

What really annoys me is, what happened last sunday was a farce with regards to turn 3, but nothing is said. Bernie moans about Silverstone (last year) because of fog, then the fact that there aren't enough sign posts dotted about the place , The guys been there enough time to know where he's going. i hope it does stay, there are many other circuits that could be axed first, all they need to do is sort out the drainage on the track
