So this article in speecafe from today Tander return an asset in GRM Commodore switch would support that line of thinking?

Its a promotional piece to remind people of the series and the changes that are happening

Not in the slightest, that is an article about Tander being able to use some of his experience gained at HRT to help in the development of the new GRM Commodores, nowhere does it state that the bare chassis in the picture is a new car "breaking cover".

fortunately no where in the linked article did it say "breaks cover"

however I will concede speedcafe used that term (wrongly)but they were also clear that the car would have its first public showing at clipsal in March

JABWOA should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Maybe showing what it will look like after the body roll causes it flip over?

You would hope they are going to lower the racing version by a few feet?

Agree with you on that, heavily tainted, I guess if you want to win, better build a Colorado.

A number of cars are already under construction involving Mazda, Ford, Holden and Mitsubishi, while a fifth manufacturer is also likely

SuperUtes Are Go!

Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT50 & Ford Ranger... already homologated...

With SupaShock dampers, 20" PDW Wheels... the packing seems to be 'getting there'

Be curious to see how high it is..

The ideas about improving the technical specs, including knocking down the ride height, make loads of practical sense.

And Mr Stone working with Mr Stuart again is no bad thing.
