Insurance is all over the AGT grid, and Dunlop series.. are they junior?

At $8k-$12k/round, its a big outlay.. in this case perhaps better spent on the upgrade of the chassis?

Apparently cost LD 250K. I assume for the year for both cars. Maybe a condition that both drivers cough up for this?

Bayford 100 years. A ford dealer in melbournes North. also provides mustangs (and otehr cars to the drivers)

sorry no pic, but picked it up from the highlights package on the supercars website, then checked it against bayford website

I got it.. thinking aloud..

The excess on these kinds of insurances are usually pretty high. One I saw a few years ago in AGT was a $50k excess! Cheaper than losing a $450k car, but youbstill have to find the $50k... and source a replacement car/parts/people to fix it..

Looking at cost/benefit.. BJR had a horrible weekend in Tasmania, losing 2 chassis as they did. Mr B.Jones put the cost of all of that at around $300k. Plus the stress & strain on people/parts pipelines and all that fun stuff.

Total loss accidents are (thankfully) rare in Supercar.

Balancing the cost of insurance with the cost of a total loss including excess, its a financial tightrope.

Perhaps the difference between sourcing the sponsor/choosing the driver, and running a customer/paydriver operation

Even the kids in Super2 and Khumo managed a cleaner start than that shambles.

Some drivers seem to lack a bit of spacial awareness.

This race is going to become a case of who's willing to take the biggest risks with curbs and tyre pressures.

IMO drivers need to be told to stay away from all curbs.

Five degree camber on the rear!.. That may be an issue... SVG seems to have it under control.
