Street circuits
Quick question: would current generation F1 cars be physically able to race at Macau, Pau or the Norisring?

Don;t know enough about the Norisring, but Pau and Macau are both pretty narrow. Not sure they;re suitable for F1 - especially with the ever widening cars.

Macau, would never work, it's got a place that's so narrow they have a permanent yellow flag! Ralph Firmin's demo is the closest we'll see to it happening.
Pau, not sure about, they used to have to have non-championship races there back in the 60s and the circuit hasn't changed since then.
Norisring is certainly wide enough, but they'd need to lengthen the lap it's probably about as long as the Silverstone National circuit or a bit more
There are plenty of ones in America that could work, like Long Beach, like Belle Isle

Is is worse than Monaco's Loews or Long Beach's hairpin?

Two meters seems to be the standard for most race cars these days, so I'd say that they would physically be able to race at those locations. I wouldn't want to watch though...

Well, Pau will be hosting modern and historic machinery on consecutive weekends next month, but not sure how a 2017 F1 compares size-wise with a GT4 Aston, pre '66 Mustang or Corvette! It's narrow, bumpy, has strange cambers, and there is one uphill section where overtaking is not allowed on the first lap. Fantastic street circuit and great events though....

If you google it using the marvellous Goolge translator you will find that Formula 1 was proposed to Macau in 2014. Apparently the compulsory layout changes were a bit too much for the locals.

It is fantastic but too quick and dangerous for F1. When F3000 was there, there were accidents at pretty much every turn.

Leave it to the smaller formula, then! F3 probably very quick round there....

Pau is extremely narrow. Lycee hairpin was notorious in F3000. Not sure I've seen any footage of them through the chicane, but it must have been challenging. GT4 & F3 cars through the corner I marshal at are... close. (Poeymirau/Bouisson)
Modern F1 there?, As a demo maybe, as a race, no, impossible.

Surely Formula E could race at all of the above. Macau, Pau and Norisring would be cracking additions, but Pau's a bit too rural for them

Perhaps F1 should cede the tight city street circuits to Formula E and concentrate on circuits which suit the faster cars.
The future of city motoring is probably all electric anyway.
Monaco is, of course, the jewel in the crown and along with Singapore could race both Formulae top give an understanding of the difference performasnce levels.
Both under the same pwnership now.
