Tony Quinn, and the tracks

Seems Tony is still after the south Qld track to go racing. Lost out on a second track in NZ, now eyes of QR.

Has tried before , but JT said no, Logan Council said no to a track as well.
Hopefully Tony can either buy or build one , many comments on Speed café about this , one of the biggest is the lack of facilities and improvements to QR .

There is also land available at Beaudesert for another track , with government blessing.

Stay tuned for more

Do you have any more info on this? Links to a story or something like that?

I heard something about a track at Beaudesert about a month ago but couldn't find anything through a google search.

Queensland Raceway does need some TLC. It's a nice little track but the garages are nothing more than open tents. A recent resurface hasn't really helped, still rough has all hell.

The track needs a new pitlane and an extension.

It needs that flyover, a la Oran Park, that Mark Oastler suggested a few years ago.

Dreams aside, a proper pit l garage structure would go a long way.

There's a track at the 16 mile post on the Calder Freeway just out of Melbourne that the present owner would probably entertain a decent offer for to get rid of it.

Well, we could mortgage our belongings, and the hit Dan the Man up for some dollars, if we hire Union staff only and make a play to Rodney to buy him out , then rebuild Calder park, do a deal with Warbo, 90 % to Super Cars, or get old mate from F1 , Ron Walker to chip in a few dollars, maybe even have it as a holding a clearance area prior to the Gp , etc etc ,call up one Mr Quinn to get the GT cat there as well, or chance a lotto win with the next super draw

So what's the plan, build a replica, or knock the houses down that are there?

Amaroo has less houses than Oran Park. Mind you they are more expensive per house...

The 'Dome lets that place down from many angles.

Too expensive to fix, too expensive to get rid of.
