AndyM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just got back from a wet day at Silverstone watching the testing. The morning started off dry with only Zonta completing a flying lap, Lemarie and Panis for BAR cruised in and out of the pits a fiar few times, as did Wurz in the McLaren. Jordan were running the 2001 EJ11 whilst Panis was in last year's BAR and Lemarie was in the 2001 Chassis. Wurz drive the 2000 car all day except one lap in the 2001 car (with the pre-Brazil front wing).

It rained in the afternoon, but all drivers came out and set some times. McLaren were running their traction control system on and off all day, the car sounded terrible on the exit of corners, not a hint of wheelspin but 22 cars all sounding like that on the first lap of a wet race will be awful! It just sounded really harsh and horrible. Had some nice flames out of the back though when you could hear the engine cutting back, sounded like a machine gun or something, the BAR and Jordan sounded great....Wurz was visibly quicker through Woodcote corner than the others, Zonta even got quite sideways through there, it should be flat!

Patrick Lemarie was having fun in the BAR, he spun twice in the rain, once at Luffield, spinning all over the grass near the pit entrance, then spun later on the exit of Brooklands corner, he was all over the place, surprised he only spun twice near us. It sounded like he spun coming out of the Abbey chicane but we had no visual confirmation on that one....apart from the whole left side of the car covered in mud! Zonta was enjoying himself as well, no spinning but he was getting very sideways on the exit of Luffield corner, looked great.

Wurz did a lap or two in the new car (without TC - he was spinning the wheels quite a bit out of Luffield) but then the track closed.

Not a bad day out but got a bit wet. Thats Silverstone for you....

Andy, stick a reportette in the Trackside forum - you'll see the appropriate thread. I usually report back with more an emphasis on the stalking of drivers...

Look out for me - I'm the one completely clothed in Minardi gear, somewhat unsurprisingly.
