Keke Rosberg protege Kimi Raikkonnen has earned his Super License from the FIA after some impressive tests this week. He has regularly posted times in the top eight of the drivers present including experienced drivers Coulthard, Barrichello, Button, Montoya, and Heidfeld.

One more pilot to put Button Spice's nose out of joint and sprain Murray's tongue - how long until he becomes "the Finn"?

Good for him though and I wish him well next year.

Yayhey!!!!

Yet another Finn in F1!

Here's wishing Kimi and Nick the best of luck at Sauber in 2001.

I suspect that Raikkonen's debut season will not be as impressive as Button's was given the indifferent effort Sauber seems to make relative to the resurgence of Williams in 2000.

If Sauber remains true to past form, Raikkonen may actually score some early points until the team trails off toward the end of the season.

Given the short history of Sauber in F1, it is interesting that Kimi is the third Finn to drive for them.

Räikkönen NOT in Rosberg's team

Yet again... Räikkönen is not managered by Keke Rosberg. Kimi has same "team" as Jenson Button, lead by Steve Robertson.

I can't wait for next wet F1 race...

He had impressive testing results. It will be interesting to see how he will perform. Whether he's successful or not will have to be seen in light of the machinery at hand.

Button being refered to as an "experienced driver" must be a first!

Has anyone who was signed for an F1 team ever not been granted a super lisence?

Just wondering...

Don K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

Do you only need a super licence when you participate in F1 races?
Or do you need it for testing?

I think there must be a lot of drivers who after signing for a F1 team
never participated in a race for that team.

Obviously you don't need a Super Licence for testing. From what I understand, it's required if you're going to participate in any part of a Grand Prix Weekend (practice, qualifying, race).
