Herck is now not on pole due to a three place grid drop (doing my pen news round up again here). Others have also got pens and here are the surnames Vietoris, Clos, Parente, Chilton,Cecotto, Filppi & Ericsson all for setting a time under yellow flags, the last name on that list done it during FP so can we have a updated grid please

ok, Maldonado won the race just holding off Parente with Grosjean 3rd. Perez was 7th and he had to go for a pit lane drive though for speeding in pit-lane

Excellent race - the last few laps were just stunning.
Couldn't follow live timing but was a bit disappointed with Grosjean's lonely 3rd. Expected a bit more from him. |

That's his championship challenge officially over then. Maldonado can win the championship tomorrow if he wins and Perez is outside the top 6.

Unfortunate that Perez got a drive thru penalty otherwise it would have been a more exciting last 5 laps. Great race from Parente and Am getting tired of seeing Bird on the sidelines. As the here in Mexico "esta salado." I know a witch doctor that will take care of his bad luck. Oh Perez will win the Sprint race fir sure or I will eat my stinky underware.

During those last laps in the first race I thought to myself, that if Alvaro wins this race I will cry. So close! But hopefully he's finally made people sit up and take notice. If only we could get him and Grosjean back for the full 2011 season.

Got to admit that Gonzalez was significantly better than usual over the weekend wasn't he?
Perez once again proved that when the cards fall as they should he's probably untouchable of this years field and in doing so has just about kept the title race open, only just though.... As many have said it was great to see Parente back and he clearly relished the opportunity. Can't help but wonder how he would've fared if Coloni hadn't gambled on the conditions and kept him out that long on Saturday. If he had pitted early like most teams do, he may not have even got a podium? And poor D'Ambrosio, how cruel that engine failure was!!! |
