Kremer Racing
At LMSR.net, they are reporting that Kremer racing are considering a return to the 24 hours of Le Mans in the near future...maybe 2006 or 07?
It would be great to see them back since their long absence from Le Mans. I can't think off the last time they raced there...was it 1994? I wonder if this has something to do with the new Porsche LMP2 project... Kremer Porsche P2 for 2007!!! What's your guess... |

And didn't Joest race the TWR WSC95 because he didn't want to chop the tops off his prized 962s?

AFAIK The K8s were purpose-built, not 962s with their roofs cut off. The K7 was an amputated 962.

Until 2004 they raced in Historic Group C / GTP with two CK6, ( also at Le Mans before the 24h race ). One of their cars was for sale this winter.
They still have shop open in Cologne, but they moved eralier this year from theier old shop to a new, smaller one. They also do some smaller developments for automotive industry and sometimes incentives. I would love to see them again, but don´t really think they will return on track, also Erwin Kremer isn´t getting younger in these days. |

That is what I had understood, the split didn't allow finances to be available for racing.
