GP2 opens their paddock
GP2 have announced that they are going to open the paddock to all fans at every race during the remainder of the season - anyone at the race can turn up between 5.30 and 7.00 on Friday and Saturday and get in to take a look around.
I think it's a nice offer by GP2, and it lets the fans get close to the cars, teams and drivers. With this and their regular signings the GP2 guys are certainly reaching out to the fans. Now hopefully the Silverstone security will actually allow the fans over the bridge so that they can take up the offer! |

Excellent plan.
GP2 does seem to being increasingly doing the right things. |

Thats interesting as last year everything was inside the fencing and not accessible to anyone without a paddock pass, even us marshals were unable to get in there.

GP2 will eventually be as popular as F1 if they continue!

Anyone from Ten Tenths, if you ask for me at Racing Engineering on Friday, I'll let you get into the tent to see the cars if the boys are not to busy. If you got that far, you deserve it
But I am sure some of the other teams will be doing so as well. The GP2 boys seem to be pretty open to visitors. In Magny Cours it was great, both for the drivers and the fans. |

I doubt very much if access will be over the pit straight bridge. That leads into the F1 paddock for media people from the media car park behind the pit straight stands.
Access would be through the Copse tunnel I guess. |
