That's why I wondered, and why I explicitly put Clockwise on the image
THe turn that looks like Bahrain's turn 1 is in fact the last corner, and turn 1 is the left curve into a tight right.

I'm not so sure Pirenzo. I don't think your extension really matches the character of the original. It just doesn't seem to fit quite naturally with the old course.

Okay. Here's my take on the challenge. I modelled the turn one complex on the old Nurburgring Sudkurve, but added more runoff and a massive grandstand! Most of the old circuit is retained in the short circuit, but the Grand Prix circuit has a nice long straight and new pits. It has a Jerez/Shanghai style grandstand bridge too for added fun.
