DTM at Donington

Not long now before we get the change to head to Donington to see the DTM. Anyone care to offer any predictions? (or supply me with an Idiots Guide to the DTM)

Did you not get your copy of Autosport/we love F1 Carrie ?

And for the prediction, as i forgot up there, either Wendlinger if he makes it round Redgate for the first time for Audi, Huisman if Schneider falls off,but would want to see smokin and a drinkin Winkelhock do the bizz..
Whatever happens though , it`s gonna be a good weekend.

I did get my Autosport, doesn't mean I've read it yet though I tend to get round to reading Autosports once they're at least 2 weeks old! Anyway, don't discredit the DTM, there'll be a perfectly good copy of Autosport out tomorrow that you can use to start your BBQ, afterall, it'll just have the F1 in it and nothing else

I think Aiello will make it 3 out of 3 but other runners to look out for are Tomchyc, Schneider(never discount him) and Scheider(Opel).

Lets hope Alesi can follow up his Hockenhiem race.

A bit of history from the www.dtm.de site

The six races in the three DTM events at Donington from 1993 until 1995 have been won by Alfa Romeo (3, Christian Danner, Nicola Larini, Alessandro Nannini), Mercedes-Benz (2, Bernd Schneider) and Opel (1, Manuel Reuter).

Mercedes-Benz drivers Bernd Schneider, Uwe Alzen and Bernd Mayländer have raced at Donington already in 1995. In that year, Bernd achieved pole position, won both heats and posted the fastest lap in each race. Jean Alesi participated in the 1993 European F1 Grand Prix at Donington for Ferrari and retired after 36 out of 76 laps.

Bernd Schneider has held the lap record in a DTM car with a time of 1:32.03 since 1995.

Roll on the weekend and maybe a first ever Audi win @ DP

I've got my copy of Autosport here in Australia, and though it says its supposed to contain at DPk DTM preview, I didn't get one. I'm stunned. It's not fair!
