True. Maybe after Thruxton then? Will soon be time to create a "BTCC 2011 rumour mill"!

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Whats the rush to lock threads these days? (Not just on this forum). It used to be a thread could just drift peacefully into history when the conversation naturally finished rather than people requesting threads be locked all the time!

Jamesy-18 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Well, as I said in my first post, with the 2010 season just around the corner, I doubt there's gonna be much point having a rumour mill thread going throughout the year when basically everything is confirmed and there are no more 2010 rumours so to speak. That is all.

Pettersson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
What about all the stories during the season? Just look at last year, a lot of things happened with driver swaps, teams entering and leaving etc. Such things fit very well here, it's still 2010 and a lot of rumours. The only diference is that the season has already started. No big deal, let the rumours coming , and as a previous board member said, just let this thread die on its own if nothing happens during the season (and honestly, what's the odds on that ).

Yeah I agree with Alfa Fan, just let it drift off, if nobody posts in it nobody posts in it, but why should it be locked? Hell I know let's delete it too

As Petterson says, what happens when there's some speculation about a second Special Tuning Seat or a third Focus? Let's face it, there's always going to be some rumours, whether true or not!

Perhaps the second Triple 8 car is being reserved for Giovanardi and will only run if he has funding (i.e. could be part-time), as WSR have done with the 1 car for Turkington? It would seem a bit odd to not have a driver lined up at this stage, no?

Just think back to last year when Plato was confirmed at RML only a few hours before qualifying!

I think the Plato/RML/Lacetti deal is fast becoming the stuff of legend, along with all that comes of that.

Yes he didn't have any testing and it was very late, but he was in fact confirmed on the Wednesday morning, ahead of Saturday's qualifying, so a few hours may be stretching that one a bit James

Why not change the thread title to ''BTCC 2010 Season Discussion''?

4 Days and counting to Thruxton.

Name a team prior to an announcement of drivers where they haven't used the term "exciting news soon". :P
