GP2 Silverstone

Well, just to confirm that Robin Frijns will race for Hilmer Motorsport this racing weekend.

Shame for him after his good effort in Auto GP a few weeks ago getting to know the track more?

Ericsson poleman ahead of Bird and Nasr. Richelmi 5th which underlines DAMS better form in the last few races, at least in getting their cars up the front?

Frijns, Lancaster, Palmer and Rossi a long way back so it will be interesting to see how they comr through this afternoon. ...

You know, it's almost kind of impressive to be so unable to score as Ericsson seems to be. DAMS must be stoked.

1-3 of Russian Time with another victory of Bird.
Richelmi 2nd at one of his finest hours.

From the podium, Jon Lancaster: "It sounds like it was a long time coming and an incredible result. I have not raced for over a year."

I am intrigued - why make a habit of telling pointless lies? It doesn't help him.

Before GP2 he raced in the 2012/2103 MRF Series. Then a little GP2 in 2012. Auto GP + F2 in 2011. FR3.5 2009/2010.

He probably meant in GP2/equivalent? His only 2012 GP2 outing was in March at Sepang, his first 2013 GP2 outing was in May at Barcelona so technically he had a 1+ year break GP2-wise. Though it was indeed interrupted by his racing in the much lower profile MRF Series this Winter.

Missed the second race, what did Canamasas do to Palmer?
Just wondered as Palmer got a 12k euro fine for calling the Spaniard "a f***ing idiot".

He was a lap down but fought/blocked Palmer as if it was for position. It all ended in the inevitable clash & retirement for Palmer.

I could ask you the same thing, why raise pointles comments?

It was perfectly clear what he was referring to, why can't you just acknowledged the fact he drove well?

Great race Jon

It was two highly entertaining and crazy races, particularly Saturday's.

Still some examples of ridiculous driving out there which really needs addressing before someone either get seriously injured, or worse killed. People aren't heeding flags, and are driving quite desperately imo?

Still there is some decent talent out there, probably the best field for 4 or 5 years, even if some of the guys seem to have been around for yonks!
