That does raise an interesting point though....if 888 do win with crap, imagine what they would do with good parts!!!
I was refering to parts in a generic way meaning that for some race teams it's better to buy off the shelf crap rather than make your own crap. Nothing to do specifically with 888 or other suppliers.

888 are intent on matching Tom Walkinshaw.
If true then that is sad to see DJR go. I hope we don't end up with a situation with a few owners owning most of the field.

It's probably inevitable at some point though as DJ gets older. He's been involved for a long time so he has earned a relaxing retirement not working long hours dealing with multiple businesses.

v8smoker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
DJR needed help years ago, Dick has spent good sponsors money on boats flash houses & keeping his son in a drive. He used to have a good n respected team which he has run into the ground,

No results = no good staff want to work there
No good drivers want to drive there (davidson is a star he needs to get out)
No sponsor wants to tip the money in

Its a down hill spiral that had to be stopped about 5years ago instead its now out of control an very hard to fix.

DJR have been left behind.

Dick is a legend

888 could make great use of Dick as a legend - the sort of floater role Brocky was playing without the worry of producing results on the track for his spoonsors dollars.

Oh so true to the above.
