Strangely enough, I was surprised as to how much worse the weather looked on TV compared to how I remembered it.

Just back from Le Mans "Classics" (flew out day after the GP). Wish to thank MSA for the prize and you lot for your congrats. Must admit, was lost for words (for once) when Dale my IO shoved me in the back and said "Charlie wants a word with you". Was this my last GP?, Did he find out I "acquired" thick, yellow plastic clinical waste bags from the Medical Centre for our gear?, should I really have retreated faster from that incoming Austin A40?.
Where wiil I go? ...probably Monza or maybe Valencia, certainly not Monaco. Any suggestions/comments welcome. Again, thanks all. |

I've done 2 European races, Magny Cours and Spa. Magny Cours was my first ever GP so it was brilliant for me, nice countryside, good view from our spot but I wouldnt recommend it to someone who had to pick any race to go to, the race was bland really as it tends to be a lot of the time there, and there are so many other places with history etc that you could pick for a better all-round experience. Spa was fantastic, I'd definitely go again. I think Monza would be similar to that, but better because of the Ferrari aspect. Spa had crazy Dutch and Germans which was great, but the tifosi would be awesome to see first hand I reckon |

sorry to here that Fuel cost you over £100 ,and to think you may have to pay £30 more IF it were to be held at Donny. And to think you had to Drive for more than a hour.
Get over yourself and into the real world. |

Spa is fantastic but it's quite achievable on your own, there is lots of accommodation close by and it's not too far away so IMO wasted if you're on a freebie!
I'd probably go for Monza or Monaco... |

Why not Monaco? I don't really consider it a race, more like a PR event for the sponsors. Yes, some exciting moments with the close calls with the kerbs and barriers, but where can an ordinary spectator get to in order to see these incidents? Not many viewing spots, I'll bet.
IMHO Spa's a true 'racing' circuit but as stated it's nearby and achievable at my own expense. |

For what it's worth, I'd choose Valencia.
But then again I already have done for this year, so I'll give you some feedback after the August Bank Holiday weekend Congratulations Ty. Al. |
