Not sure why it matters anyway, SBR will win the Konica series.... they have the better package, the engineering crew from the L1 team, sufficiently funded... and a strong driver....
Find another team in Konica with simililar attributes and you may have found their competition |

It has TBA for an Entrant, sponsor and driver... all that is known is that there is a VX somewhere someone wants to enter....

Well from what i gather there is 3 Drivers to be signed to HYG. One of the two other than Brede will race and the other test with the team. The other name getting mentioned is James Brock who i guess with his connections would be the one already signed.

Well i guess all will be revealed soon. I read that Clayton Pyne has til this Friday to come up with funds or an agreement to race somewhere anyway.
I for one would like to see how he would go. Another rumour still floating around reguards Alan Gurr but that seemed to have gone quiet. |

i know that the plan for this year was for James to run in Konica and that he has no other drive lined up in any other class so either he is not running anything at all or he has signed up somewhere.

In true motor racing tradition... no dollars, no drive...
Thats not a sleight on Clayton Pyne's ability at all, more that HYG is a commercial operation, and requires additional funding for Clayton to be run in the second car. For every Clayton Pyne, there are a hundred, a thousand lower ranked drivers probably with similar talent who wont get a shot for the exact same reason. Given that these seems to be some doubt as to the future of AutoOne on this particular arrangement, I am presuming that Clayton's management team is working on securing alternate funding. While I dont know the intricaies of the arrangement with the team, I would very much doubt they will take the driver on the promise of funding without either a cheque in the bank, or a personal guarantee from one of the driver's management team. Perhaps a member of Clayton's management team has the wherewithall and desire to underwrite the season, in order for the young guy to have a go, repaid by any commercial sponsorship that may be available at a later date in the season |
