schanche should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Vintage Metro 6R4's

Selection of Groub B Metros!
Always liked Rob Gibsons, seemed to sit lower than all the others and always kept the same colour, plain and simple but always in the thick of the action.Rob Gibson in the British Grands Prix's always refused to take the parade lap at the start of the main final what a rebel( Why did he do that)

Over to you folks! In the Gollop pic Who owns the metro behind his! nice colour scheme and also nice laydee next to Will

shhh has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

Did u get a scanner for xmas or what?

Ray Breen had had his rally version in the same colour scheme in the mid nineties an ex dick bailey car. it must have been popular with the 6R4 crews

Definitely looks like the Morten Andersen car- I should have more pics of it somewhere, I'll see what I can find...

The Car Glass car in the bottom pic looks like Paul Kumpen, but didn't Steve Palmer run in Car Glass colours at one point?

Andersen definitely ran a Porsche- as I remember he'd come back with the 6R4 after a break from rallycross, and ran a 911 in a few events before the Metro was ready- maybe 1990/91?

I think maybe he'd run Porsches before taking time out, but that would have been before I started watching rallycross in 89

Its definately Mortens car, not sure where it went, might have gone to Belgium or something I reckon!

He was OK in it, but didnt do too many meetings I think.

As for Palmer, I think what happened was that he flogged the engine of his car, teh big 3.8 one to Kumpen, then somathing happened and he got it back in the car aswell.
For a time he was just using a stock 3 litre, and also ran a 2,8 clubmans spec engine once aswell!

Indeed, Paul had two Metro's I think, one big engine car for himself and another for Ludo Steukers who was arguably quicker!

Not sure where he got either car from!
