One more & we've got a quorum!
Now I'll take the conversation back to an earlier subject - old SAAB's. Perusing the private sale area at Techno Classica Essen I found a very tidy white 1985 SAAB 90 with just 29,950km on the clock. Asking price is a mere 13,800 euros.... |

Got it Jean! Please note that its a vote de confiance because I still wonder if your foot something is related to someone here wandering bare foot!!
Did you see the first road test of the Bugatti Chiron made by "our" television? I think its very considerate of German from Audi to respect French traditions…* Very delicate indeed. |

I haven't seen the Bugatti TV story. Having just spent four days in the Messe Essen where one is gloriously oblivious to the outside world, I have not seen or heard anything. Our 'Best of Show' is a stunning car - the Alfa Romeo 6C 3000CM Pininfarina Superflow IV, shown by Jim Stokes. A real eye-catcher. |

Pro/Am pair play pitstop strategy to perfection
> Gilbert and Patel retain overall and Silver Cup points’ lead with second > Teo Bee Tat and Tjiptobiantoro claim Am/Am victory, Tong and Lo the GT4 spoils!!!!!! Absolutely nothing to do with historic racing, but the result of the Blancpain Asian Series latest round. |

Mais oui, in a day or two. I've never been able to attach pictures on here so it will have to be some other way. The person responsible for the site where I usually put them was in Essen himself so may not want mine this time! I met a very nice French man who has done the opposite to me & moved to England where he is restoring Mini's. Judging by the Crayford Mini Convertible he was exhibiting, he's very good at it too. |

Jean should you go back one day or another maybe the best is to make your decision fast… If you let time roll probably they won't accept any French over there!
Is the price madness still going on in Germany? I mean 912's for 60K, Capris RS MKI for 50K and so on… |

As to prices in Essen, how about 22,900 euros for a Citroen Mehari? I tend to ignore the Porsche 911's as there are simply too many of them. One dealer was offering what he considered to be the oldest 912 still existing, the 7th car built. Actually, there was not much of it left. The streets around the Messe were lined with dodgy dealers trying to sell very shiny BMW's on Latvian & Lithuanian number plates. |

You should be able to add up to 6 images using the "Manage Attachments" button that appears a little below the message edit box into which we type. They have to be added one at a time afaik but it's not normally too difficult so if you are having problems they should be resolvable. On Mini (originals) I see there is to be a run of 100 "modernised" continuation Minis available at £50k each. Presumably they will make more than £10 a car on those. Somewhere around my part of the world is a chap who buys non-BMW Minis and, in the main, sells them on to the USA un-refurbished. Nostalgia works in so many mysterious ways. |

Terence- what model M3 is it? E30, E36, E46.....
I've not hidden my interest in battery electric vehicles, or BEVs for short, on here previously. This new Merc is really interesting for it's slightly alternative approach... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k1tbf8muMc |

Jean, I guess the region of 22K€ for a brand new Mehari is "normal" if made by the specialist long established in Cassis. Still crazy money for a plastic bathtub powered by an asthmatic so called engine.
As to overseas market we have classic bikes specialist buying from the US sought after '70s Japanese bikes (3 cylindres Kawa, Honda 450). Interesting to see that back in the days the Scrambler models didn't do well. Always the case! |

Mike, we have now a huge market of electric assisted bikes. My wife owns a Sparta which is a pure wonder of holland type bike. Very addictive…
