New F1 Magazine - digital
Hey F1 people, check this out! http://www.gpweek.com and if you want to know what to expect, we've had something similar here in Australia for some time now, specialising in Australian V8s, the technology is the same - if you want to have a look try http://enews.mnews.com.au
If this new product is as good as what we have already (and look at some of the names who will be writing for it) then it will be great. Worth registering for, they send you an email each week when a new issue is published. |

New F1/MotoGP/WRC mag
You should have a look at the new 'internet' mag launched today, which i alerted people on this site to some weeks back, its brilliant. Covers all three branches of the sport and some of the images are superb. It has some well known writers. Latest F1 news is that Austrlalia has offered to run its race at 5pm to keep Ecclestone happy (thats 6am UK time). http://www.gpweek.com

I had a quick click through, the usual F1 season preview, and the obligitory 1st issue aout how good they are. But they are good. Like spectator said, good, well known international writers. eNews' loss is gpweek's gain.

Great looking magazine, and right up to date.
I suppose they will let everyone take a look at the 1st issue and then make it a subscription (fair enough I suppose). |

Subs
Having spoken at length with one of the principals I can say that there is absolutely no intention to turn this publication into a subscription based one.
That business model does not work on the internet as many sub sites discover. Advertising and paid for content is the only way. |

Nice looking magazine there! And even better if it stays free.
Good articles and international writers. Brilliant! |

I subscribed to this and got the first edition monday, now, bearing in mind that the Moto GP race was on only the evening before, i was very impressed. Being a printer (albeit, not magazines) i understand how difficult it is to get things out quickly enough for the paying customers. Autosport can be worried imo, their website requires subscription iirc, and their magazine could become outdated by the day of release (thursday). |
