Lucky man, he walked away from this;

Paul Whiting rolling his MG during the GTS Race.

356sc should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Is that the steering wheel flying through the air in the last shot? Scary!

Certainly looks like the steering wheel! Interesting...

As Tim says, just shows you why so much emphasis is put on roll cages by our governing bodies. Especially important when the windscreen and frame is bolted on, plus the hard top is removable.

Lucky lucky.

I was taking a few panning shots when it happened, which explains the poor quality, so I did not see the very start of the shunt, but there was no other car involved and he just seemed to 'dig-in' as he came out of Brooklands. Plenty of cars were running wide at that point but simply re-joining, very odd as to why he tipped over.

Poor quality?? Bob, if you say so ok but I dont fully agree. Seeing the driver's arm position may be he sent away the steering wheel himself. Or an improved version of quick quick release. Yes lucky. Car is clean in any respect.

The first picture is quite helpful Bob, I'm just wondering if I can get the box out of my MGB without taking the engine out, I have problems with the O/D inhibitor switch.

Great sequence of shots, Bob. A bit of blur here or there is fine because it conveys the speed and drama of movement. Afterall the eye doesn't ever capture a single moment in a sequence.
