war film, several, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Das Boot.
Sweet, several Bazooka Joe, Wham bar, Mr freeze ice poles. Fave toy, Star Wars men, Airfix kits and Matchbox wannabe Scalextric that was better. Fave car of Dad, Mini, Maxi but he had a Mk3 Escort almost new i loved. TV ad, Panama cigars TV, would be Battle of the Planets, loved it Never read comics. Shoot maybe. Autosport, would be 87 or 88. Lasted for a few years before realising it was a ripoff and MN was far better. Poster Signed Liverpool FC, worth a fortune now long gone sadly. |

Apologies if me commenting ruins the flow of this thread. I am finding the following interesting...
1. Movies I am going to have to check out such as "Ice Cold in Alex" and "Von Ryan's Express". I have Googled both. Ice Cold sounds similar to "The Flight of the Phoenix" which is not a war movie, but is a battle for survival in North African desert with a unique mix of characters. 2. High variability on Autosport. Basically at some point you picked it up, or you just didn't (and probably never will). 3. Same with posters. Either you had posters or you just didn't. Richard |

According to IMDb, it required fourteen takes to film the bar scene at the end of Ice Cold In Alex. Sir John Mills as the only one of the leading actors able to sink his lager in one was quite drunk by the final take.
