Big Accident at Gurston(info only)

Unfortunately one of the Westfields had a big off this morning during practice and went up the bank at hollow and took out the Marshalls' post. As far as I know the driver and 1 Marshall were injured Ambulances called etc. The westfield driver was Terry Luff but I don't know who the marshall may have been. I have no idea for the reason for the off nor how badly people may have been injured and don't want to speculate.

Just to say, very best wishes from the whole community and hope you both recover OK.

cheers

Rich

The driver was Terry Luff, He is fine but slightly bruised.
Of the 2 marshals at the post, 1 is ok no problems, and the other is in hospital with a suspected broken pelvis.

As with all serious accidents, may we ask everyone to keep speculation and discussion of the accident to a minimum?

The thoughts of all marshals are with the injured parties and we sincerely hope that those hurt are able to make a full and rapid recovery.

Sorry to hear of this, as Wooley says get well soon.

I hope all the other people involved in what was obviously rather nasty are fine too.

How about 'Firewood G.I.T', as Harry reckoned that's all the shelter was good for afterwards...

Very good news to hear he's out and about. Hope his recovery continues to be rapid.

I'd suggest Toolkit GIT since many people have been injured by the products of Stanleys?
