Favorite cars of the decade
Since we are late into the 2010's now, I thought it would be a fun thread. What have been your favorite sportscars cars in the 10's that we have seen race in series like IMSA, ALMS, Grand Am, and PWC? I'll go for this:
Prototype: Corvette DP, Audi R18, Lola Aston Martin
GT: Porsche 911 RSR, Corvette C7R, Ford GT, Mercedes AMG, Dodge/SRT Viper
Number 1 for GT is the Porsche 911 RSR. Number 1 for Prototype is the Corvette DP.

Hpd Acura arx 01e, 2011, legitimately passed an Audi on track on pace in first and only (?) race. Beautiful car. I see I'm not alone.

About prototypes:
Peugeot 908HDi with low drag kit, a pretty nice dyno monster
(the undisputed most powerful sportscar prototype post group C)
2014-2016 Ligier lmp2,
the perfect example how aero need can share with beauty

Dome S-102
However, there other beautiful cars. The only cars I don't like are the old p1/p2 without roof.

Prototypes - Epsilon Euskadi ee1, Dome S102, Lola-Aston Martin (Closed car resurgence era!)
Technically the first is not quite compliant to the OP question but as it's 10 years this year I'll call it close enough...
GT - GT1, even in the watered down 2010-2011 years I'd still take them. Aston Martin DBR9, Corvette C6R, Saleen S7, Maserati MC12, Nissan GTR GT1, Ford GT GT1 and the much missed fire breathing and howling Murcielago...
Possibly a 458 GTE as an exception...

Some folks are listing cars that did not run in a North American series this decade though. Toyota and Dome not around in Weathertech, ALMS, Grand AM, or PWC

My favorite cars of the decade are both Porsche models.
First, and holding a special place in my heart, is the old Grand-Am spec Porsche Cup cars, particularly the more hardcore later generation 997's which had RSR suspension, gearbox, a monstrous PMNA tuned motor, and the audibly pleasing center-positioned, single exhaust pipe.
No doubt this Brumos livery was one of the best to grace the car.
And of course the current 911 RSR has to be the best. In spite of how BoP handicaps GTLM at the moment, and say what you will about flip-flopping the engine and transmission, this is a truly hardcore 911 that deserves the mantle of RSR. No racing Porsche has sounded this good in a long time, the above Grand-Am cars included. This is a beefy, angry, wide, low, and fast vehicle. I only wish we had more of them in IMSA, some GTD tailenders could have a shot at a legitimate "top 10" in GTLM...
Here's the 912 car at Daytona.
Chris
