BMMC Clubnight January
The South Mids are holding there first clubnight of 2009 on 20th January at the White Horse pub in Silverstone Village at 8.00pm. Our guest speaker for the evening is Darren Turner.
Darren started racing in karts and then in 1992 moved to single seaters, he has raced in many single seater catagories including F3 and Palmer Audi. He has raced in DTM, BTCC and many GT catagories as well as ASCAR. Darren also test drove F1 Jordan & Arrows and was a test driver for McLaren for a number of years. Darren was a previous winner of the McLaren Autosport BRDC young driver of the year award. Darren also worked for Jordan for a period working as a wind tunnel model maker. |

Darren arrives back in the UK on Sunday from Sepang and will be with us on Tuesday evening at the White Horse.

Is there any need to book or can I just turn up? I am a BMMC member but haven't had this year's membership card through yet, in fact I've only just sent Sue the renewal form.

All clubnights are open to all marshals, not just to BMMC members.

Another good evening was had by all even though Darren was telling too much about the Nissan GT1, Aston Martin prototype or being the Stig!!!!!!

Great night! Darren was really entertaining once he got into his stride.
Next night is 3rd February when we hope to have Andy Wallace as our guest. We also hope that Andy will pull the winning ticket for the lucky BMMC marshal who will win the Super Day at Bedford Autodrome, donated by Jonathan Palmer and MSV Circuits. |
